Travel and Inspiration in The Colorado Rocky Mountains

So often, we get a craving to travel and love to go on spontaneous adventures and road trips, and even eloped in Tulum last November! 

During our adventures is where we find inspiration for the art we hand paint and illustrate for the Nevele Society Etsy Shop. Traveling is also when we find all the unique one-of-a-kind vintage treasures for the shop or our home. 😉

Discovering The Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve in Tulum, Mexico

A beautiful panoramic view of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere in Tulum, Mexico on the cost of the Yucatan Peninsula.

There are many amazing places to explore in the Tulum area, but ask around and the locals will agree –  Sian Ka’an is worth visiting if you have the time and a desire to adventure in the jungle!

We found Sian Ka’an while looking for locations to have our wedding ceremony, during our Tulum elopement in November 2018. 

The Biosphere is located just south of the hotel strip when driving down the coast of the Caribbean Sea past all the local shops and restaurants. It was a beautiful drive cruising through the jungle in our rented Jeep – just watch out for the BUMPY (understated) road conditions!

Tulum Elopement – Wedding Venue Sneak Peek!

Exactly one month ago today on November 11, 2018, during an intimate ceremony in the jungles of Tulum, we exchanged vows and promised each other forever. We had a feeling that eloping to this jungle paradise was going to be incredibly special, and damn, were we right!

Our wedding ceremony ended up being more beautiful and special than we ever imagined! Because of the incredible features of the venue we found for our wedding, we were able to customize our very own Mayan inspired ceremony.  It was simply stunning and perfect for what we had in mind!

We have the CRAZIEST story of how we secured access to such an incredible Tulum venue, which we literally found less than 24 HOURS before our ceremony! Watch for the blog post about that adventure very soon!

Capturing the magic of our jungle wedding

Since we didn’t have a photographer with us on our wedding day, we returned with her later in the week to capture the amazing essence and magic of our most special day!
